PTP Players of the Week

Taylor Kujava (Ada-Borup) and Jake Pavek (Mahnomen) have earned the Girls and Boys Pine to Prairie Player of the Week Award for their respective efforts on the basketball court. For both Taylor and Jake, this is their second Player of the Week award of the season. Taylor earned her previous one on December 29th and Jake earned his on January 23rd.

Taylor (Sr., Forward) Averaged 21 points and 15 rebounds in the Cougars two victories last week. Ada-Borup defeated Lake Park-Audubon and Ulen- Hitterdal to run their season record to 18-1 on the year.

Jake (Jr., Forward) had a couple of big nights last week. Against Climax- Fisher, Pavek scored 25 points and grabbed 24 rebounds. In a big win over North Division leading Fertile-Beltrami, Jake scored 44 points and had 22 rebounds. He also surpassed the 1,000 career point mark in the game against
the Falcons.

Two other Pine to Prairie Conference basketball players reached the 1,000 career point mark during last week’s games. Landon Schultz (Ulen-Hitterdal) and Kari Skersick (Bagley) both eclipsed that milestone. In addition, other outstanding efforts for the week were turned in by Sean
Benson (Bagley) and Justine Yost (Waubun).
