Jenna Lundon (Jr., Guard) from Waubun High School and Jacob Pavek (So., Forward) from Mahnomen High School have been voted as the Girls and Boys Basketball Pine to Prairie Players of the Week.
Jenna scored 15 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and added 10 steals in the Bombers victory over Norman County West. Lundon than had a game high 38 points against Ada-Borup. She also added 11 rebounds and had 4 steals in the loss to the Cougars. This is the second conference Player of the Week award for Jenna. She earned her first one in December.
Jacob scored 26 points on 11 of 14 shooting and added 12 rebounds in a hard fought loss to Bagley. He then contributed a 19 point and 16 rebound effort in a win against Win-E-Mac. Pavek has now recorded six consecutive double digit scoring and rebounding games. This is Jacob’s first Player of the Week honor.
Special mention this week goes to Garrett Carlin (Sr., Forward) from Fosston High School who reached the 1000 rebound mark in his career.
Other outstanding efforts for the week were turned in by Kyle Arneson (Jr., Point Guard) from Fosston High School, Kris Skersick (Jr., Forward) from Bagley High School, Megan Kolness (So, Forward) from Ada-Borup High School, Kari Skersick (Fr., Forward) from Bagley High School and Alyssa Schmidt (Sr., Guard) from Fosston High School.
