USCHO.com DI hockey poll

GRAND FORKS, N.D. - The University of North Dakota is ranked 18th nationally in the latest USCHO.com Division I men's hockey poll released earlier today.

The No. 18 ranking represented a slight drop for North Dakota, which slipped one spot after a Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) series split at St. Cloud State last weekend. UND won 3-2 on Saturday after suffering a 3-1 defeat on Friday.

Defending NCAA champion Minnesota Duluth garnered 45 of 50 first-place votes and retained its spot atop the poll. Boston University, which received the other five first-place votes, maintained its No. 2 ranking. Minnesota, Notre Dame and Merrimack rounded out the top five.

UND, which is 9-3-1 over its last 13 games, hosts Wisconsin on Friday and Saturday at Ralph Engelstad Arena.
