UMC Baseball to Hold Alumni Game Saturday

CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston will hold an alumni game at Jim Karn Field Sat., Oct. 26 at 6:30 p.m. All former UMC baseball players are invited to participate in the game as the Golden Eagle alumni will take on the current UMC baseball team.

The UMC baseball program is in their second season under Head Coach Steve Gust and experienced a big turn in the right direction last year as they went from 1-47 to 14-36 in Coach Gust's first season. The Golden Eagles have also experienced a sky-rocket in roster size as they went from 20 players to 29 last year and now have 45 players on their Fall roster.

The Golden Eagle football team is also home on the weekend, playing No. 1 Minnesota State University, Mankato at 1 p.m. at Ed Widseth Field. Former UMC baseball player Jesse Jennings will be honored at half time for earning Capital One Academic All-America Second Team honors. He will receive his plaque for earning the distinguished honor. The UMC soccer team is also at home Friday against Concordia University-St. Paul and Sunday versus Minnesota State.
