NDSU’s Pedersen MVFC Special Teams Player of the Week

ST. LOUIS - North Dakota State kicker Cam Pedersen was named Missouri Valley Football Conference Special Teams Player of the Week by the league office Sunday, Sept. 20, after converting 4 of 4 PAT kicks and 2 of 2 field goals in North Dakota State's 34-9 home win over North Dakota.

Pedersen, a freshman from Eau Claire, Wis., tied the game with a 28-yard field goal in the first quarter to cap a 10-play scoring drive and blasted a 49-yard field goal in the fourth quarter as part of 34 unanswered NDSU points.

A walk-on who traveled to Montana and had his redshirt pulled against Weber State, Pedersen is now 9 of 9 on PAT kicks and 4 of 4 on FGs in two games for the Bison.

North Dakota State (2-1) is off this week before opening up conference play at South Dakota State on Saturday, Oct. 3.
