Minnesota finished 3-1 in the four-game series with Los Angeles this season. This year’s postseason meeting will be the third time the two clubs have met in the playoffs, also facing off in the 2012 Western Conference (Minnesota won the series, 2-0) and the 2003 Western Conference Semifinals (Los Angeles won the series, 2-1).
With one game left to go in the 2015 regular season, the Lynx hold a 22-11 record, marking the fifth consecutive season the Lynx have put together 20+ wins, which is the second longest such stretch in WNBA history (Los Angeles 6, 1999-2004). The Lynx have put together 127 wins over the last five seasons, which ranks second in WNBA history (Los Angeles – 130, 2000-2004; Los Angeles – 125, 1999-2003). After reaching the Western Conference finals in each of the past four seasons and the WNBA Finals in three of those seasons, the Lynx are seeking to reach the Finals for the fourth time in five seasons.

Last season, the Lynx completed their 16th WNBA season by putting together a 25-9 record, good for second place in the Western Conference to clinch homecourt advantage in the first round of the playoffs for the fourth consecutive year. The Lynx compiled back-to-back 27-7 marks in 2011 and 2012, and finished 26-8 last summer. The 105 victories since 2011 ties Los Angeles (2000-03) for the league’s most ever over a four-year span.
