The Thief River Falls Lions Club will be hosting its 6th annual Fishing Tournament on Saturday, August 20, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the Thief and Red Lake Rivers in Thief River Falls, Minnesota.
The entry fee for the tournament is $20 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under.
Over $17,000 in cash and prizes will be given away to fishing tournament and raffle ticket winners at 5:00 p.m. that day.
Fishing categories include walleye, northern and “other”, with first place cash prizes of $1,000 in each division.
Registrations are currently being accepted by calling 218/681-3102 and are due by August 12, 2011.
A mandatory rules meeting will be held at 8:00 a.m. with registration confirmation following that on August 20 at the Huck Olson Memorial Civic Center. Live fish weigh-in will begin at 3:30 p.m., followed by the award ceremony and raffle ticket drawing occurring at 5:00 p.m. at the Huck Olson Memorial Civic Center.
