WBCA “Pink Zone” Night on Friday, February 11 at UMC

(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston’s (UMC) Athletic Department announced today that Friday, February 11 will be WBCA “Pink Zone” Night at the Golden Eagle Women’s and Men’s Basketball games at Lysaker Gymnasium.

WBCA “Pink Zone” Night is a promotion with the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) to raise breast cancer awareness. The UMC women and men play Bemidji State University at 6 & 8 p.m. on Friday. Everyone wearing pink will get into the games for half price. Golden Eagle athletes will also be selling pink t-shirts with the M-Crookston logo on them during the event. There will be “Pink” games and prizes awarded at all time-outs and at other times throughout the night. Proceeds from the t-shirts, games and cookies will go to breast cancer awareness and research. The UMC teams will be wearing various pink accessories and shooting shirts in recognition of the events.
