GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The
University of North Dakota’s upcoming National Collegiate Hockey
Conference (NCHC) series against Miami University has been pegged as a
top-10 matchup, according to both national polls released on Monday.
North Dakota remained ranked No. 2 in both the USCHO and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine
polls for the second straight week, and garnered three first-place
votes in both. Miami jumped to No. 7 in both after being previously
ranked No. 11.
Minnesota
remained the nation’s top-ranked team in both polls, while No. 3 Boston
University, No. 4 Massachusetts-Lowell and No. 5 Michigan Tech rounded
out the top five.
UND
and Miami were two of six NCHC schools ranked among the top 15,
including Denver, Minnesota Duluth, Omaha and St. Cloud State.
UND will host Miami on Friday (7:37 p.m.) and Saturday (7:07 p.m.) at Ralph Engelstad Arena.
