NDSU Men's Golf Picked Ninth in Summit League Preseason Poll





ELMHURST, Ill. – The North Dakota State University men's golf team was picked to finish ninth in The Summit League according to a preseason poll of the league's head coaches released Thursday, Jan. 21.

South Dakota State was selected as the preseason favorite to capture The Summit League men's golf title. The Jackrabbits collected four first-place votes and 60 points.

Oral Roberts was voted second with three first-place votes and 54 points.

Western Illinois and Denver were picked third and fourth, while South Dakota was voted fifth, respectively.

IUPUI, Omaha, Fort Wayne and the Bison rounded out the poll.

NDSU is led by sophomore Nick Myhre, who has a team-best 75.56 stroke average entering the spring season.

North Dakota State finished a program-best fourth at The Summit League Men's Golf Championship last season in Lompoc, Calif., tallying a three-round team score of 924.

The Bison will play in four spring tournaments before The Summit League championship May 1-3 at Sand Creek Station Golf Club in Newton, Kan. NDSU tees-off the spring slate at the Atchafalaya Intercollegiate in Patterson, La., Feb. 22-23.
