Warren-Alvarado-Oslo High School basketball standout Danny Mattson will continue his basketball career at Mayville State University next season, head coach Justin Johnson announced today.
Mattson was a two-time All-Conference selection at W-A-O and was honored as an All-State performer following his senior season.
"Danny will have an incredible future at Mayville State University," Johnson said. "He has a lot of tools to work with and will get even better throughout his career here at MSU. We are extremely fortunate to have such a quality young man in our program."
Mattson averaged 22.4 points per game during his senior season and pulled down 5.1 rebounds per game while shooting 54 percent from the field and 39 percent from behind the three-point line.
"I am very excited for the opportunity to play at Mayville State University and I hope I can help keep their winning tradition going," Mattson said.
Along with his success on the court, Mattson was also named to the Academic All-State team in Minnesota.
