NDSU's Abby Plucker Named to All-Summit League First Team

ELMHURST, Ill.--North Dakota State forward Abby Plucker was named to the All-Summit League women's first team Thursday, March 3, by a vote of the league's head coaches, sports information directors and media.

Plucker, a 5-foot-11 junior from Parker, S.D. (Parker H.S.), led The Summit League in rebounding (10.3 rpg) and three-point shooting (.488, 41-84) in league games. She was second in scoring (19.7 ppg) and free throw shooting (.855, 65-76), third in three-pointers made (2.3 avg.), fourth in minutes played (36 avg.) and sixth in field goal shooting (.525, 124-236).

A two-time Summit League Player of the Week, Plucker was named the league's January Female Athlete of the Month. She ranks 30th nationally in rebounding (10.1 rpg) and leads NDSU in scoring (16.2 ppg). Plucker has 11 "double-doubles" this season including 10 in league play and has led the Bison in rebounding in 24 of 28 games.

North Dakota State went 13-15 in the regular season and tied for sixth in The Summit League with a 9-9 record. The No. 6 seed Bison are scheduled to play No. 3 seed and two-time defending champion South Dakota State (16-13, 12-6) in the Summit League quarterfinals at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 6, at Sioux Falls Arena in Sioux Falls, S.D.
