GRAND FORKS, N.D. – After opening the regular season with
a pair of home wins over non-conference foe Canisius, North Dakota was once
again ranked No. 1 in the USCHO.com Division I Men’s Poll that was released on
Monday.
UND defeated the Golden Griffins 6-0 on Friday and 4-1 on
Monday and garnered 45 of 50 first-place votes as a result. Boston University
received the other five first-place votes and was ranked No. 2, while Quinnipiac,
Minnesota Duluth and Notre Dame rounded out the top five.
Seventh-ranked St. Cloud and 10th-ranked Denver joined
NCHC rivals UND and UMD in the latest top 10.
UND continues its five-game homestand on Saturday night
against Rensselaer in the 2016 U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game.
