Pedersen, a freshman from Eau Claire, Wis., tied the game with a 28-yard field goal in the first quarter to cap a 10-play scoring drive and blasted a 49-yard field goal in the fourth quarter as part of 34 unanswered NDSU points.
A walk-on who traveled to Montana and had his redshirt pulled against Weber State, Pedersen is now 9 of 9 on PAT kicks and 4 of 4 on FGs in two games for the Bison.
North Dakota State (2-1) is off this week before opening up conference play at South Dakota State on Saturday, Oct. 3.
