State left tackle Joe Haeg was named Missouri Valley Football Conference
Offensive Lineman of the Week by the league office Monday, Sept. 14, for his
performance in NDSU's 41-14 victory over Weber State.
Haeg, a senior from Lake Shore, Minn., played 77 of 81 snaps and led the Bison with 12 total knockdowns including nine pancakes and two decleaters. He had NDSU’s highest grade with a 99 percent on assignment and 92 percent on technique.
Haeg was responsible for zero sacks or quarterback hurries for the second week in a row. NDSU rolled up 316 rushing yards between nine different ball carriers and quarterback Carson Wentz passed for a career-high 281 yards.
It was Haeg's fourth career award and his first this season.
North Dakota State (1-1) closes out its non-conference schedule this week hosting North Dakota (2-0) for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff Saturday, Sept. 19, at Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome.
