FARGO, N.D. – Former North Dakota State University women's basketball standout point-guard Brooke LeMar has inked a contract to tip-off her professional career in Denmark.
LeMar, a native of Canyon Country, Calif., signed with SISU Copenhagen in Copenhagen, Denmark. Founded in 1954, SISU is one of Denmark's oldest basketball clubs. Both its men's and women's teams compete in the Danish Basketball Federation's elite divisions.
LeMar garnered All-Summit League first-team accolades as a senior in 2015, and was voted The Summit League Newcomer of the Year as a junior in 2014.
She averaged 19.5 points and 4.5 assists per game during her senior season, ranking second in the league in points and assists per game, and scored at least 20 points in 15 games, including two games with 30 or more. LeMar was the leading scorer for NDSU in 23 of 29 games in 2014-15.
LeMar scored 1,258 collegiate career points (1,018 at NDSU, 240 at SIU) to become the 31st women's basketball player to join the NDSU 1,000 Point Club. She ranks first in career minutes average (36.5 per game), second in scoring (17.5 per game) and assists (4.9 per game), and seventh in free-throw percentage (.795).
