GRAND
FORKS, N.D. – The
University of North Dakota, which opens the regular season on Friday, remained
ranked No. 2 in this week’s USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll released
on Monday.
UND again
trailed only top-ranked Minnesota in this week’s poll, while Boston College, Providence
and Colgate rounded out the top five. Minnesota, the 2014 national runner-up,
garnered all 34 first-place votes.
UND made its
2014-15 debut on Sunday with a 4-0 exhibition win over the University of
Manitoba. It will open the regular season this weekend with a non-conference,
home-and-home series against Bemidji State. UND will host the Beavers on Friday
before traveling to Bemidji on Saturday.
