Timberwolves Summer Showcase at Target Center on Wednesday, July 8

Minneapolis/St. Paul – The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced the team will host an open scrimmage at Target Center on July 8 at 7 p.m. The scrimmage roster includes Andrew Wiggins, Zach LaVine, Shabazz Muhammad, Gorgui Dieng, Adreian Payne as well as the Wolves’ 2015 NBA Draft picks Karl-Anthony Towns and Tyus Jones.
 
The event is free and open to the public. Target Center doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the general public, with member doors opening at 6 p.m. There is reserved seating for season members and following the scrimmage, members will have access to an exclusive autograph session with the roster. Attendees who purchase a season membership during the event will also gain access to these exclusive benefits.
 
Wednesday’s scrimmage is open to the media and details on availability will be released next week.
 
Following the scrimmage, the team will depart for Las Vegas to participate in the Samsung NBA Summer League 2015, which runs from July 10-20 and features 23 NBA teams and a team of NBA Development League select players.
 
For the third consecutive year, the Samsung NBA Summer League features a tournament-style schedule in which teams compete in three preliminary round games from July 10-14 before being seeded in a tournament that starts on July 15. The tournament concludes with the Championship Game on July 20. Each team is guaranteed to play at least five games.
