VandenBergh Leaves NDSU Basketball Program

FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State head men’s basketball coach David Richman announced today that sophomore forward Brett VandenBergh has decided to leave the team.

“Brett VandenBergh has made a decision to leave our program for personal reasons. We fully support Brett in his decision,” Richman said. “Brett has been an integral part of our team’s success over the last two years, and we wish him nothing but the best in the future.”

VandenBergh played in 32 games and made seven starts as a true freshman in the 2012-13 season, averaging 1.8 points and 1.5 rebounds in 15.8 minutes per contest. The De Pere, Wis., native sat out the entire the 2013-14 season with a knee injury.
