NDSU Football Players Earn Honors

PHILADELPHIA - Three-time first team cornerback Marcus Williams and two-time offensive lineman Billy Turner were two of North Dakota State's four players named to the Sports Network FCS All-America teams announced Wednesday, Dec. 18.

Williams and Turner were joined on the first team by Andrew Grothmann, who earned his first All-America honor at fullback.  NDSU's Colten Heagle was selected as a third team safety for his first career All-America award.

The Missouri Valley Football Conference led the country with the most first-team selections (eight) and tied with the Big Sky Conference for the most overall selections (14).

No. 1-ranked North Dakota State (13-0) hosts an NCAA semifinal game against 15th-ranked New Hampshire (10-4) at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome.
