MN Lynx to wear pink uniforms in support of Breast Health Awareness on Aug 2

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL -- The Minnesota Lynx today announced their August 2 matchup with the Phoenix Mercury will be Breast Health Awareness Night, sponsored by Deuce Brand. In support of breast health awareness, the Lynx will wear pink jerseys, shorts, sweat bands and shoes. After the game the players will auction off their jerseys worn that night, with proceeds going to the Lynx Foundation, which supports breast cancer research and support programs in the state of Minnesota. The first 2,000 fans to enter Target Center will receive a commemorative pink rally towel.

"The Breast Health Awareness game is annually one of our most significant events of the season," Lynx Chief Operating Officer Conrad Smith said. "Next Tuesday will present a great opportunity for our fans to bid on some unique game-worn items, with the money raised going to support breast cancer research. It’s wonderful to work with tremendous partners in Deuce Brand and Susan G. Komen as we collaborate on our mission of raising money for this worthy cause."
