GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The University of North Dakota was ranked No. 2 in both
national polls this week, dropping out of the top spot in the USCHO.com
rankings while holding its ground in the USA Today/USA Hockey
Magazine poll.
UND
(19-3-2 overall, 10-2-0 NCHC) garnered eight first-place votes from USCHO
voters and three first-place nods in the USA Today poll. Quinnpiac was
the nation’s top-ranked team in both.
UND is
coming off of a conference split at home last weekend against Omaha, a split
which moved Omaha from ninth to seventh in both polls.
The
Fighting Hawks will conclude their seven-game homestand against unranked
Colorado College on Friday (Jan. 22) and Saturday (Jan. 23) at Ralph Engelstad
Arena.
