GRAND
FORKS, N.D. – The
University of North Dakota stayed put at No. 2 for the third straight week in
the national men’s hockey polls, which were released on Monday.
UND,
which took five of six points from Colorado College last weekend, garnered 15
of 50 first-place votes in the USCHO.com poll and six of 34 first-place nods in
the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine rankings. Quinnipiac stayed
atop both polls, while St. Cloud State, Providence and Boston College were
ranked 2-3-4, respectively, in both.
The
Fighting Hawks take to the road this week to face unranked Western Michigan
(Jan. 29-30). UND is idle the following week and will return to action Feb.
12-13 at Denver.
