There were many outstanding performances in the Pine to Prairie Conference this past week in both girls and boys basketball. Headlining the outstanding performances were Shelby Kaster (Win-E-Mac) and Troy Peterson (Ulen-Hitterdal) as they were selected as the Conference Players of the Week by the league coaches and athletic directors.
Shelby (So., Forward) reached a career milestone as she notched her 1000th point against BGMR on Friday. She scored 31 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in the victory. For the week, Shelby had 62 points, 49 rebounds and 10 blocked shots as the Patriots went 3-0 for the week.
Troy (Sr., Center) had 30 points and 7 rebounds in a win over Lake Park-Audubon on Tuesday. He then added 35 points and 15 rebounds on Friday as Ulen-Hitterdal defeated Norman County West. In the first half of the NCW game, Troy surpassed the 1000 career point plateau.
Other outstanding efforts for the week in girls basketball include: Megan Kolness (Ada-Borup), Cassie Kihne (Win-E-Mac) who also reached the 1000th point milestone last week, Korbyn Ross (Win-E-Mac), Andi Knudsvig (Lake Park-Audubon) and Bailee Bartunek (Lake Park-Audubon). On the boys side, Tyler George (Bagley) and Jake Walker (Win-E-Mac) also had strong weeks.
