NDSU's Jacobson, Miller Claim Spots on CoSIDA Academic All-District Team



FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State University sophomores A.J. Jacobson and Paul Miller were voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-District men’s basketball team announced Thursday, Feb. 11, by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

NDSU was joined by Iowa, New Mexico, Belmont and College of Charleston as the only five schools in the nation with two Academic All-District honorees.

Jacobson (Fargo, N.D.) and Miller (Waukesha, Wis.) will both advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America honors to be announced later this month.

To be eligible for Academic All-District and Academic All-America consideration, a student-athlete must be a starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, and have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at his current institution.

Jacobson owns a 3.99 cumulative GPA with a zoology/pre-dentistry major. He has started all 24 games for the Bison this season, averaging 13.3 points and 4.3 rebounds while shooting 46 percent from the field.

Miller has a 3.82 cumulative GPA with a major in accounting. He leads the Bison in scoring with 16.5 points per game, while also grabbing 5.0 rebounds per contest and shooting 43 percent overall and from three-point range.

Miller and Jacobson have combined for 40 double-digit scoring games this season. As only sophomores, both rank among the top 25 in NDSU history in career three-pointers made.
