UMC to Host High School Football Camp July 23



CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston football program will hold an individual football camp Sun., July 23 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. on the University of Minnesota Crookston campus.

The camp is for students going into grades 9 through 12 and will be a non-contact, non-padded football camp and will include: combine testing, position specific coaching, speed/agility training and competition drills. In addition, campers will be given important information relating to the recruiting process including academic eligibility and the character components that make or break a football career.

The camp will being with check-in at 12:30 p.m. at the UMC Wellness Center. The camp has helped to produce nine current Golden Eagles. 

The registration fee is $35. Last year, the program set a record with 70 participants. The Golden Eagles will look to build on that number for the 2017 camp as they continue to grow the camp. 12:30 p.m. – Check-In – Height/Weight
1 p.m. – Welcome – Coaches Intro
1:10 p.m. – NCAA Info Presentation
1:30 p.m. – Dynamic Warm-Up
1:45 p.m. – Speed/Agility Testing
2:45 p.m. – Primary Position Drills
3:45 p.m. – Competition Drills
4:15 p.m. – Camp Conclusion
4:30 p.m. – Optional Campus Tour
