FARGO,
N.D. - North Dakota State moved up one spot to fifth in the FCS Coaches
Poll and sixth in the STATS FCS Top 25 on Monday, Nov. 2, following a
35-29 road win at Southern Illinois.
The top four are the same in both polls with Jacksonville State first, Illinois State second, Chattanooga third and Eastern Washington fourth. Richmond is fifth in the media poll, and NDSU is tied with McNeese State for fifth in the coaches poll.
Coastal Carolina, previously No. 1 in the coaches poll and No. 2 in the media poll, fell to eighth in both polls after suffering its first loss of the season 33-25 at Charleston Southern. James Madison fell out of the Top 10 after taking its second straight loss.
The Missouri Valley Football Conference has six teams ranked in the media poll and five in the coaches poll.
