NDSU Finalizes Seven-Game Home Football Schedule for 2018

FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State University has completed its 2018 football schedule with the addition of a non-conference home game and two date changes, NDSU director of athletics Matt Larsen announced Monday, Oct. 2.

NDSU will play a seven-game home schedule in 2018 with the addition of Cal Poly for the season-opener on Saturday, Sept. 1.  It is the third time in school history that the Bison have seven regular-season home games scheduled (1998 and 2000).

North Dakota State's season-opener previously was Delaware, which has been moved to Sept. 22, and that week's game vs. North Alabama has moved up one week to Sept. 15.

Missouri Valley Football Conference play in 2018 opens at home against South Dakota State in the annual Dakota Marker game Sept. 29, giving the Bison four home games in the month of September.

Other home games are Oct. 20 against Illinois State, Nov. 3 against Youngstown State, and the regular-season finale Nov. 17 against Southern Illinois.

Road games in conference play are at Northern Iowa and Western Illinois back-to-back weeks Oct. 6 and 13, as well as South Dakota on Oct. 27 and Missouri State on Nov. 10.

NDSU will not face Indiana State in 2018 and 2019 due to the league's schedule rotation.
