UMC Men's Basketball to Host Pair of Camps in June

The University of Minnesota Crookston men’s basketball team will host a pair of day camps June 13-16 and June 20-23 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Lysaker Gymnasium on the campus of UMC.

The first camp (June 13-16) will be a Junior Eagle Day Camp for boys and girls going into grades 1-6, while the second camp (June 20-23) will be an Offensive Skills Day Camp for boys and girls going into grades 5-12. Each camper will receive a t-shirt and camp basketball and their will also a pizza party following the camp on Thursday. The camp costs $50 per camper. The campers will receive instruction from UMC men’s and women’s basketball coaches, as well as men’s and women’s basketball players.

The Golden Eagles already have 73 registered campers for the two camps with 41 registered for the Junior Eagles Day Camp and 32 registered for the Offensive Skills Day Camp. The primary goals of the camps are to have fun playing basketball, meet new people and to learn the skills of the game.

Registration for the camp is still open and will remain open with walk-ups being taken until the first day of each camp (June 13 and June 20).
