FARGO,
N.D. - North Dakota State checked in at sixth in the FCS Coaches Poll
and seventh in the STATS FCS Top 25 on Monday, Oct. 26, after picking
up a 28-14 road win at Indiana State.
North Dakota State moved up two spots in the coaches poll and one spot in the media poll from its previous No. 8 ranking. The Bison are 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the Missouri Valley Football Conference heading into a second straight road game this week at Southern Illinois.
Coastal Carolina (7-0) maintained the top spot in the coaches poll and Jacksonville State (6-1) maintained the top spot in the media poll.
James Madison fell to ninth in both polls after a 59-49 home loss to Richmond. The Spiders moved into sixth in the media poll and eighth in the coaches poll with the victory. South Dakota State fell out of the top 10 after a 10-7 home loss to Northern Iowa.
