Vaughan Leaving NDSU Men’s Basketball Staff to Join University of Mary

FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State director of men’s basketball operations Josh Vaughan is leaving NDSU to become an assistant coach at the University of Mary, it was announced Friday, Apr. 24.

Vaughan spent the last two seasons as the director of operations on David Richman and Saul Phillips’ staffs at NDSU. He played four seasons at North Dakota State from 2006-10.

“We would like to thank Josh for his time here as a player and more recently as an important member of our staff,” said Richman. “Josh has been a vital part in our recent back-to-back Summit League titles. We wish him and his fiancée Halie all the best as they team up with Bison alum Joe Kittell at the University of Mary.”

The Bison finished 23-10 this season, winning their second consecutive Summit League Tournament title after sharing the league's regular season crown. NDSU is one of only nine mid-major programs in the country to post at least 23 victories in each of the last three seasons.
