NDSU Remains No. 1 in Sports Network, FCS Coaches Polls

FARGO, N.D. - After collecting its fourth straight win over a Football Bowl Subdivision opponent, North Dakota State remains ranked No. 1 in the Sports Network and FCS Coaches Top 25 polls released Monday, Sept. 2.

North Dakota State scored the game's final 17 points to beat defending Big 12 champion Kansas State 24-21.  The Bison marched 80 yards in 18 plays over a span of 8 1/2 minutes for the winning score, a 1-yard touchdown run by quarterback Brock Jensen with 28 seconds left in the game.

NDSU holds the No. 1 ranking in the Sports Network poll for the seventh straight week dating back to Oct. 29 of last season.  This is NDSU's sixth straight week atop the coaches poll.

North Dakota State (1-0) makes its home debut against Ferris State (0-0) at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome.
