Jaysha Pemberton (Bagley High School), Lexi Nelson (Norman County West High School) and Jake Pavek (Mahnomen High School) have been selected as the Pine to Prairie Girls and Boys Basketball Players of the Week.
Jaysha averaged 19 points in
two games for the Flyers last week. In a
win against Fertile-Beltrami, she went 8 for 12 from the field including 3 of 4
from the 3 point line. In a loss to
Fosston, Jaysha scored 19 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and recorded 4 steals.
Lexi averaged 24 points, 5
rebounds and 2.5 assists in two wins last week.
Norman County West defeated Ulen-Hitterdal and Norman County East.
Jake scored 24 points and
grabbed 21 rebounds in a loss to Win-E-Mac and then followed that effort up
with 18 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Climax-Fisher. Pavek recently went over the 1000 career
rebound mark.
