GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The
University of North Dakota men’s hockey team enters its week off
holding strong at No. 2 in both national polls released on Monday
afternoon.
UND
earned a National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) sweep at Western
Michigan last weekend, enabling the Fighting Hawks to nab the No. 2
spot in both polls for the third straight week. UND received nine of 50
first-place votes in the USCHO.com poll and six of 34 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll.
Top-ranked
Quinnipiac stayed atop both polls, with No. 3 St. Cloud State, No. 4
Boston College and No. 5 Michigan rounding out both.
UND will return to action Feb. 12-13 at Denver, which was ranked No. 13 this week.
