Minneapolis/St. Paul – The NBA today announced the Minnesota Timberwolves will
take part in the fourth annual NBA Canada Series presented by Bell.
Minnesota will play two preseason games during the series, facing off
with the Chicago Bulls at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg on Oct. 10 before
playing the Raptors at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa on Oct. 14. In
total, a record five teams will play an all-time high four preseason
games between Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver and Winnipeg.
In
addition to Minnesota’s pair of games, the Raptors will face off with
the L.A. Clippers in Vancouver on Oct. 4, as well as play Washington in

The
Timberwolves previously played in the NBA Canada Series in 2012 when
they played the Detroit Pistons in Winnipeg and in 2013 when they took
on the Boston Celtics in Montreal.
The
NBA Canada series will also celebrate basketball with interactive fan
events and NBA Cares community outreach programs designed to further
develop the game in Canada.

player to win Kia NBA Rookie of the Year. In addition the Wolves roster
features Anthony Bennett, the first Canadian-born player to be drafted
No. 1 overall.

television viewership in Canada for both the NBA (+73%) and the Raptors
(+75%). Additionally, NBA All-Star 2016, the first NBA All-Star to be
