GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The University of North Dakota climbed one spot to
No. 9 in both the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine
polls, which were released on Monday.
North Dakota is
coming off of a NCHC series split at league co-leader St. Cloud State last
weekend. The Huskies also moved up one spot in both polls and are now ranked
fourth.
Minnesota
grabbed the top spot in both polls after a sweep of Penn State, overtaking
previously-top-ranked Boston College. Union remained No. 3 in both polls while
Wisconsin moved up to fifth in both.
UND (19-10-3,
14-8-0 NCHC) will close out the regular season this weekend when it hosts
unranked Western Michigan. UND can assure itself at least a share of the Penrose
Cup and the No. 1 seed in the NCHC playoffs with a sweep.
