ELMHURST, Ill. – North Dakota State’s Taylor Braun was named as The Summit League’s Men’s Basketball Player of the Week following his performance Dec. 16-22. Braun collected his fourth career honor and second this season after averaging over 30 points per game in leading his team to a pair of victories. Against Delaware, Braun scored 33 points, the second-highest single-game total of his career, and pulled down seven rebounds. He shot 64.3 percent (9-of-14) from the field and converted 13-of-15 (86.7 percent) free throw attempts. Facing Colonial preseason favorite Towson, Braun turned in a 28-point performance that included seven rebounds, four assists and one steal. He made 9-of-16 field goal attempts (56.3 percent) and nine free throws in the win. For the week, Braun averaged 30.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest.
