The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) has announced that three UM-Crookston Golden Eagle Football players earned All-Conference recognition following the 2010 season. Cecil Brown (DB, 5-10, 205, So., Edison, Ga.), Cody Hendrickson (DB, 5-10, 185, Jr., Wright, Minn.) and Scott Steuck (OL, 6-6, 290, Jr., Dassel, Minn.) were all recognized as NSIC North All-Conference Honorable Mention team members.
Brown started in all 11 games for the Golden Eagles. He led the defense in tackles with 92 (46 solo, 46 assisted), over 30 more than the next UMC defender. The 92 tackles earned him the fourth spot on the single season tackles list. He earned 1.5 tackles for a loss, grabbed one interception for 32 yards, broke-up two passes and defended three passes.
Hendrickson started in all eleven games this season. He finished second on the team in tackles with 60 (43 solo, 17 assisted) and led the team with four interceptions for 81 yards. The four interceptions tied him for third place on the single season record list. He broke up four passes and defended against eight others.
Steuck started in all eleven games this season at the left tackle position on an offensive line that was decimated by injuries. He was the key blocker for the Golden Eagle running attack that accumulated 1,157 yards and averaged over 100 yards per game.
