ST. LOUIS, Mo. - North Dakota State kicker Adam Keller
was named Missouri Valley Football Conference Special Teams Player of the Week
by the league office Sunday, Sept. 21.
Keller, a senior from Lewisberry, Pa., kicked a school-record five field goals to lift No. 1-ranked North Dakota State to a 22-10 home win over No. 3/4-ranked Montana and extend NDSU's winning streak to 28 games.
Keller connected from 41, 22, 32 and a season-long 47 yards in the first half as NDSU scored on four of its first five possessions. His 30-yarder with 1:43 left in the game capped a 13-play, 46-yard drive that ate up more than 7 minutes of the fourth quarter.
He broke the NDSU record of four field goals set in 1983 by Ken Kubisz and tied by Keller in 2012 at Northern Iowa when he earned his only other Player of the Week honor. Keller has made 13 consecutive field goals over the last eight games and has made 72 straight PAT kicks.
North Dakota State (4-0) has a bye week before opening league play Oct. 4 at Western Illinois in the Missouri Valley Football Conference game of the week on ESPN3 and the NBC North Dakota network
