North Star Conference Players of the Week

(October 1, 2013) The North Star Football Conference has announced the Players of the Week for last week’s efforts.

East Division

Offensive Player of the Week – Travon Pederson (Pine River-Backus) had 10 carries for 96 yards and 3 touchdowns in the Tigers’ 43-7 win over Bagley.

Defensive Player of the Week – Quentin Uran (Prairie Valley) had 17 tackles in a hard fought loss to Pillager 23-14.

West Division

Offensive Player of the Week – Hesston Bachmann (Frazee) ran for 159 yards on 14 carries, including a touchdown against Red Lake County.

Offensive Player of the Week – Jacob Magnell (Red Lake County) had 21 carries for 103 yards with a touchdown and a 2-point conversion in a 20-14 win over Frazee.

Defensive Player of the Week – Garret Malstrom was in on 16 tackles, 5 solos and one tackle for a loss against Red Lake County.

Special Teams Player of the Week – Brian Schoenborn (Mahnomen) was 7 of 9 on Point after touchdowns attempts this week in Mahnomen’s 67-6 win over Red Lake.
