GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The University of North Dakota is pleased to announce that UND student-athletes will once again take to the road next week to meet Fighting Sioux fans, traveling across the region as part of the third annual Sioux Caravan. The event is hosted by Midcontinent Communications.
The 2011 Sioux Caravan will make stops in Bismarck (Tuesday, May 17), Moorhead (Wednesday, May 18), Grafton (Thursday, May 19), and Crookston (Monday, May 23).
UND head football coach Chris Mussman will also be a part of the Caravan at each location. UND head men’s hockey coach Dave Hakstol will appear in Bismarck and Moorhead, while men’s hockey assistant coach Dane Jackson will be a part of the Grafton stop.
A meet-and-greet event will be held each night at 6:30 p.m., where fans will have the opportunity to enjoy a free hot dog with their favorite Fighting Sioux, get their autographs and have their picture taken. Autograph cards will be provided. Numerous great door prizes will also be given away, including game tickets, autographed team posters, t-shirts and more.
Admission to each event is FREE and no ticket is needed, although seating will be limited. The doors open at 6 p.m. each night.
